The mid-range is slightly more emphasised and the bass is more \u2018solid\u2019 than the 6L6 versions. The clean tone remains quintessentially D-style, with slightly more midrange distortion but plenty of top-end sparkle. It&#8217;s well suited for use with humbucking pickups.
