“The first time I tried the Supertone Special I felt that thing that you only feel with great instruments. A feeling of space and depth in every note. On clean the dynamics are crazy, the amp listens to you and follows you in every variation. When you attack the crunch the sound bites without ever being compressed in an unnatural way. And then well … we guitarists are aesthetes and the Atom amps have a style and a look that can not fail to please! I enjoy every time I play it!”

“I’ve used the Atom Supertone Special 50 Watt on several different types of gigs so I’ve had the opportunity to explore how it performs in a variety of situations, with a variety of settings. It has its own clearly Dumble voice, and a great versatility, an amp that can go from one extreme to the other of tone and saturation. The clean remains very musical and engaging, from the defined and fast, immediate HI Fi, which keeps the string and the pick or finger attack very evident, to the more fattened and rounded clean, where the warmth of the valves begins to be felt and the sound comes out liquid and easy. All this while maintaining, even at low volumes, a sustain that other amps lose in the clean. Here you don’t feel the need to be in drive. A note of merit also to the reverb, different to my ear from the fender or other amps. A reverb that is absolutely not invasive yet present and effective … very beautiful.
Then acting on the volumes of the drive channel you go through different stages of drive, all very musical … The drive is very nice, the liquid and creamy, but still defined, of the Dumble. You can get compression and infinite sustain at low volumes, while remaining within an honest and genuine sound. You can obviously raise the master volumes and then to the already nice distorted sound you add the punch and the impact … very nice … a sound that seems to be in a stage I would say. There are different switches to act on, imported from the Dumble, plus a switch that acts on the medium frequencies and a potentiometer for the amount of FET at the input. I particularly loved this last device, which seems to my ear to change the attitude of the amp, as if you decided at the input with which attitude to start the discussion.
Note of merit also to the portability of the head, light and compact. What can I say, a winner for sure, very versatile, very varied, with a powerful and refined sound, luxurious in the drive and elegant in the clean, creamy but always defined in the solos in drive and wide and solid in the chords.”

“Hi Marko! The amp is beautiful, it has tone, the smoothness of the Dumble, lots of harmonics. The amp sounds great, it has its own personality.”

“My Supertone Special gives satisfaction! I have taken it around Italy using it with various groups and in very different contexts and the amp has always satisfied my needs, both for clean sounds and for exploring dirtier and more “rude” territories. It expresses its personality well, aesthetically unmistakable, it makes its dirty figure in every situation and leaves neither the audience nor the musicians indifferent!”

“Atom Supertone Special 50 watts: the first difference with other amplifiers is felt by the fingers, the amp helps you with a sort of compression and reactivity in the attack of the note. It sounds good even at very low volumes, but you can push it to otherwise prohibited levels, because the round and mid-focused sound hits the sternum instead of piercing the eardrums. The volume of the clean channel (spectacular!) influences the behavior of the subsequent Overdrive stages, so it is the key to obtaining clear and crystalline distortions or a more saturated and closed overdrive à la Clapton. It is a joy to play and hear!”

“Hi Marko! The amplifier runs a wonder :-)! I use it mainly in live situations in smaller venues, but also some larger open air stages. I really like the clean channel which eats the pedals very well. Also great is the drive channel, which I have used in various recordings with great results. It is versatile with many nuances, very happy with the purchase!!! Thanks Marko!”

“Dear Marko, I am extremely satisfied with the Atom 22 watt combo amplifier. The sound I can get is exactly what I wanted. Marko, you have succeeded in interpreting my wishes perfectly. Not only does it have that smooth sound that particularly suits me, it also has magnificent reverb, excellent power when needed, and is aesthetically beautiful! Thank you Atom!”

“The cabinet you custom built for me is perfect. Very light, it expresses the sound of my amplifier at its best. I have used it for recording as well as live and I am very satisfied. Lately I have also been trying it with a Quilter head and it is giving me a lot of satisfaction as well ✨”

“I was immediately comfortable with the 22-watt Atom combo, and it was exactly what I was looking for: clean sound and lots of dynamics. I used it for many live shows in different contexts from swing to rock and it always did justice to the different guitar I was playing. Marko customized it by adding a dummy-loaded speaker output that allows me to connect the amp in “silent” mode directly to a speaker emulator, which is great for someone like me who happens to have to record often and doesn’t have the chance at home to keep modest volumes and use microphones! The “mid boost” switch is also great for giving that slight saturation that we guitarists like so much!”

“Marko built my dream amp, with all the custom modifications I requested (2 extra controls and a footswitchable overdrive channel), the result is a 22 watt Super Princetone combo with smooth but crystal clear cleans and a creamy overdrive channel. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants the ULTIMATE amp!”
