Description
With 50 watts, 2 x EL34 tubes and Marshall-style transformers, this is the most rock-oriented amplifier. The mid-range is slightly more emphasised and the bass is more ‘solid’ than the 6L6 versions. The clean tone remains quintessentially D-style, with slightly more midrange distortion but plenty of top-end sparkle. It’s well suited for use with humbucking pickups. The Rock-Jazz switch on the front panel (instead of Deep) allows you to radically change the character of the preamp, from soft and ‘innocuous’ tones to aggressive rock!
It has a black anodised aluminium panel, engraved and painted; black MXR-style knobs, salt & pepper grille, polished aluminium finishes and stainless-steel mounting screws.
